ALBANY, New York –U.S. Rep. Edolphus “Ed” Towns (D-NY) will deliver an address, entitled “No More Excuses,” at the Sunday morning church service during the 38th Annual Legislative Conference of New York State Association of Black, Puerto Rican and Asian Legislators. Drawing from the conference theme, “Yes We Can! – Possibilities and Challenges for a New Era,” Towns will issue a clarion call to action to the Association members, encouraging each to work together to rebuild New York’s communities.

The church service and Towns’ address is part of a series of social and professional workshops over the course of the conference, focusing on issues such as consumer protection, immigration, unemployment, education, civil rights, housing and economic development.
