Brooklyn, NY – On Thursday, October 30, 2008, Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke (NY-11), member of the House Education and Labor Committee, will host a job fair for her constituents. Rep. Clarke made the following remarks regarding the upcoming event:
“In these challenging economic times, with many workers facing reduced hours and salary cuts, many working families and individuals in Brooklyn are looking for extra resources to make ends meet. Others have been downsized or laid off and are desperately seeking work. I look forward to hosting this event, where my constituents will be able to discuss job opportunities and have on-the-spot interviews with over fifteen local employers for a variety of permanent, seasonal, and part time positions.”
