WASHINGTON, DC -- Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA) joins Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL) and Senator Bob Graham (D-FL) in their call for the White House to declassify a 28-page section of the new congressional report on the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
“Information is power. If America is to be prepared to thwart another terrorist attack, we must have all the information necessary to do so,” said Congressman Fattah. He added, “Releasing all the documents will help to clear up any questions relating to the involvement of specific foreign governments.”
Citing security reasons, the White House has refused to declassify the material contained in the redacted 28 pages. |
