| Washington, DC – Congressman Bill Shuster announced today federal funding for the Keystone Rural Health Center in Chambersburg. The grant, from the Health Resources and Services Administration Division of Grants Management, will go toward renovations and a new addition to the family practice building.
“We are thrilled and we don’t know what we would do without the support these funds provide,” said Keystone Rural Health Center President and CEO Joanne Cochran. “The family practice has been growing significantly for the past three years and these funds will be very helpful. We are thankful to our congressional delegation for their assistance.”
The Keystone Rural Health Center will receive $245,516 to go toward renovating the current center and adding to the family practice building. The grant program is administered through the Department of Health and Human Services. The grant program provides construction assistance to health facilities across the nation.
“The improvements to the Keystone Rural Health Center are critical for Chambersburg and the areas’ medical needs. The new additions will greatly improve the quality of health care services provided through the family practice,” said Shuster, who serves on the Rural Health Care Coalition in Congress. |
