SHUSTER SECURES GRANT FOR LOCAL REC-CENTER

Northern Cambria County Receives Funding For Community Center

Washington, DC – Congressman Bill Shuster today announced a grant for the borough of Northern Cambria County.  The funding will be used to help build a new recreation center for families, children and the entire community.

“We are very pleased with Congressman Shuster’s help on this important local issue,” said Fred Nastasi, Borough Secretary.  “We worked with Mr. Shuster throughout the grant process and are excited to be receiving the funding.  We thank him for his support.”

The Borough will receive $99,410 to help build the recreation center.  The grant was included in the Fiscal Year 2004 Special Project funds.

“I am happy to announce this grant because I know it will go a long way as a recreation center in Northern Cambria County,” said Congressman Shuster.  “Families and children will now have a place to enjoy in their own community.”

The grant is administered through the Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C.
