More than $478,000 was awarded through the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Assistance to Firefighters Grant program.
"Our firefighters risk their lives to protect our families and property," said Shuster, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Emergency Management. "I am pleased that DHS is recognizing their need for funds, so that they can do their jobs well and protect themselves. They deserve to have the best equipment available."
