| Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Bill Shuster joined the Sheetz family and the Altoona-Blair County Development Corporation to announce the ground-breaking for the new Sheetz Brothers Kitchen facility to be built at the Walter Business Park in Claysburg. Congressman Shuster released the following statement after the announcement:
“Today’s announcement is tremendous news for Altoona and Blair County. This facility will create 435 new good paying jobs over the next five years and invest millions into the local economy for years to come.
This announcement is also a great invitation for other businesses looking to relocate or expand. It shows that the I-99 corridor is primed and ready for serious investment. We have a great community, the Blair County workforce is top-notch and we have a business friendly environment that is ready to welcome them.
The Sheetz Corporation has demonstrated once again that they are a great corporate neighbor who will never forget their hometown. I also want to recognize the great work done by Marty Marasco and the Altoona-Blair County Development Corporation in bringing this project to reality.”
