Washington, DC – Congressman Bill Shuster announced today a grant for the City of Uniontown in Fayette County.  The funding will be used to renovate Bailey Park and the downtown streetscape in Uniontown.

“This funding will benefit the entire community and add even more charm to the downtown area,” said Congressman Shuster.  “Every resident will notice a difference when the renovation project is complete and this grant will help make it happen.”

Uniontown received a grant for $198,820 to restore local buildings, improve Bailey Park and enhance the downtown area.

This is a Fiscal Year 2004 EDI-Special Project grant to be used by Uniontown.  The funding is administered through the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C.
