Washington D.C.- Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX), Chairman of the Republican Study Committee, today offered condolences and prayers to the family of Rep. Charlie Norwood (GA-10) after learning of his passing.
“Charlie Norwood was one of the good guys in Congress, and I was honored to get to know him through the Republican Study Committee,” Hensarling said.
“A true American hero, Congressman Norwood served his country in Vietnam and was awarded the Combat Medical badge and two Bronze Stars. He cared about people – whether his patients, the residents of the tenth district of Georgia, or the people across our nation. His passing is a loss for the Congress and for America, and I offer my prayers and condolences to the Norwood family,” Hensarling said.
