IRVING, TX – U.S. Rep. Kenny Marchant earned a positive immigration voting grade on July 21 from Americans for Better Immigration (ABI). In the current 110th Congress, Marchant has earned a rating of A+. Marchant has a B+ career immigration voting record; a rating shared by only 6% of other congressional members. “In my view, the proper approach to modern immigration policy rests on three pillars: security, responsibility, and opportunity,” said Marchant. “America is a vibrant and diverse society that rightly embraces a dynamic and open economy. To modernize immigration policy for the challenges of the 21st century, we must first have a sober understanding of the failings of current immigration policy. I am proud to support practical and deliverable legislation that smartly secures our nation, strengthens our society, and provides thorough support for those who legally seek a life in the United States.” ABI is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that grades federal politicians on their immigration voting records. ### |
