Amount Requested: $190,000
The funds will be used by the Hebron Police Department to upgrade its radio communication system, which needs to be improved to meet the upcoming move to narrowband frequency mandated by the Federal Communication Commission. The upgrade will also increase the reliability of the department dispatch and radio communications, resulting in more efficient service to the citizens of Hebron. This project is consistent with the goals of the Department of Justice’s Office of Community Policing Services, which promotes the use of crime-fighting technology and operational strategies for the betterment of the community.
