Project Description - This project is a Federal navigation channel and maintenance of it is a Federal responsibility. The project meets the national benefit/cost ratio for the Corps. Considerable investment of deepening the channel will be lost if these channels are not maintained adequately now, and the risk of groundings will only increase.
