Appropriations Requests

The City of Newark, New Jersey is working closely with the National Guard and the State of New Jersey to expand and renovate the historic Roseville Armory to improve and expand its current facilities for training, classroom and meeting room space. In order to continue serving not only National Guard personnel, but also benefit the greater community, the Roseville Armory must undertake significant renovations to provide the National Guard Unit with adequate training and meeting space. Even before the renovations can be undertaken, the City and National Guard must conduct asbestos abatement, lead paint removal, mold remediation, Polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) ballast removal, and an interior investigation to ensure continued safety of the facility.
