Prior to adjourning for the 1st session of the 112th Congress, the House of Representatives passed legislation (H.R. 3630) by a vote of 234-193 that extended a temporary reduction of 2% in the employee payroll tax rate - from 6.2% to 4.2% - for another full year. »»more
